Annie Walsh

Associate Artist

Annie is a freelance dance artist and filmmaker working primarily in community settings. She has been dancing since childhood, and inclusivity has always been at the heart of her practice. Annie completed the Inclusive Dance Practitioner Training with Magpie Dance, and has been working with the Youth session since 2021. She has previously completed a Jack Petchey internship and worked as Projects Co-ordinator with Magpie, working across digital content and events. Annie has created multiple short dance films, and her filmmaking often explores the relationship between freedom of expression, somatic movement and dance. She works with Wellness Dance, helping to provide dance sessions on behalf of Macmillan for people living with and beyond cancer. Annie has previously worked as a caregiver, and is currently completing a Level 3 Diploma in Dance Movement Psychotherapy.
