Jodie Cole

Associate Artist

Jodie Cole is a choreographer, movement director, facilitator, producer, and performer, and lead artist at Jodie Cole Dance. Inspired by the healing power of movement to bridge social divides, she celebrates difference, unites experiences through movement, and brings performance to unexpected spaces. Working internationally in communities, site-specific projects, and theatre, she has extensive experience teaching in SEND settings and mentoring dance facilitators for the Royal Academy of Dance. An MA Movement: Directing and Teaching graduate (RCSSD) and Level 3 BSL trained, Jodie runs workshops across the UK. She was Weston Jerwood Creative Fellow at Extraordinary Bodies and continues there as Co-evaluation Producer on Connecting Communities. Recent projects include Boogie Booth (2022), a participatory dance experience with embedded BSL, and Feel The Beat (2023), exploring class, collaboration, and complex PTSD with audio description. She is also an associate for the Jerwood Toolkit, associate artist for Arts and Homelessness International, and Dance Ambassador with Matthew Bourne New Adventures at The Marlowe.
