Mentoring Programme
For early career inclusive dance teachers
Parable Dance run an annual online mentoring programme for dancers and teachers, with or without disabilities, who want to develop their careers in inclusive dance. The programme is expected to run for a fourth year in 2026.
Programme details:
Sessions delivered by the Parable Dance Artistic Director, Lead Artist, and guest artists from across the UK
Covers; inclusive dance tools for the classroom, making rehearsals and classes accessible to everyone, Makaton for dance, disability rights and writing access riders, business skills (CVs, marketing, networking, publicity), an introduction to Dance for Parkinson’s, and mental health for freelancers
Participants receive one-to-one mentoring and support, including guidance and connections with other companies and experienced artists
Cost: £200 per participant. Bursary (reduced cost) places are available for those unable to pay.
The programme is open to all emerging or established dance practitioners. Whether you are a dancer with disabilities seeking work, a new graduate passionate about inclusion, or an experienced teacher wishing to specialise in inclusive dance, this programme is for you.
