Natasha Britton BCA

Founder & Artistic Director

Natasha co-founded Parable Dance in 2019 and became sole Artistic Director in 2021, leading all artistic activity, organisational strategy and partnerships. A freelance inclusive dance practitioner, project manager and education consultant since 2000, she specialises in creating high-quality dance opportunities for disabled and non-disabled participants, alongside mentoring and training artists and educators in inclusive practice. Over her 25-year career, Natasha has delivered projects for schools, colleges, conservatoires, councils, theatres and arts organisations across the UK. She previously founded and directed 3ddance and has extensive experience leading GCSE, BTEC and A Level dance courses, as well as community and youth dance development programmes.

Natasha holds a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre and a PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education, with additional training in business and management. She sits on the steering committee for the Critical Dance Pedagogy Network and has published widely on inclusive practice. Her work has been recognised with a British Citizen’s Award for Services to the Arts, the UK Coaching Coach Education Development Practitioner Award, and a National Lifetime Achievement Award, alongside multiple national short-listings. Living with a chronic health condition and parenting two SEND teenagers, Natasha’s lived experience strongly informs her practice. She remains deeply committed to accessibility, advocacy and leadership in inclusive dance, continuing to drive Parable Dance’s mission to open pathways for disabled and non-disabled participants and artists.

“Natasha gave me an opportunity and created a pathway I didn't know existed. She built me up at a time when I had no self-confidence and gave me a job and new skills that I've now utilised in my career. I'm so blown away with how focused and determined and present she is with everyone and in everything she does and she does it...with a big ole grin! She brought the best out of me and she brings the best out of everyone she meets.” Benjamin Hardy-Phillips, Past Trainee

“Natasha’s enthusiasm, dedication, love and joy for what she does is infectious. She has an abundance of knowledge about support and safe practice when it comes to leading a group. You only have to be with her in a teaching capacity to understand that she lights up a room.” Luke Brown, Artistic Director, Luke Brown Dance
